2 MORE DAYS (did we ever mention our work is for sale….)You will find silver gelatin, platinum palladium and pigment prints for sale at this year’s exhibition. There is still time. Viewing hours are 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Thursday (today) and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. While you are there check out the work of Sarah Anderson.Sarah Anderson was born in 1986 and raised in Ottawa, ON. After exploring her interest in the performing arts throughout high school, she went on to study acting in a 15 month program at Toronto Film School. She remained in Toronto for 4 years where she discovered and developed her love for photography alongside many creative friends. After moving back to Ottawa in 2009, Sarah continued her explorations in photography throughout her travels to Europe, the US, and western Canada, as well as in part-time class with the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa (SPAO). She now studies full-time in a 2 year photography program with SPAO, concerning herself with analogue techniques and medium format cameras.Sarah is committed to refining her creative eye and focus, photographing intuitively, and choosing to focus on character studies in her work. She is drawn to the feeling of newness, to moments of discovery, and to the evolution of personality within her subjects. Sarah is fascinated by the subtle eccentricities hidden in everyday life, and the power light can hold depending on the direction it falls within a frame. How many ways can one look at something and make it new again? Her work pictured above is titled Patrons No. 36, 2012.

I’m printing my first portfolio tomorrow, which concludes a life-changing first year studying photography at the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa. You’ll currently find me in the school studio, streaming NHL Playoff games, and working very hard to complete all my photos before tomorrow morning.
My classmate Val’s amazing recent work.
Un énorme merci à l’extrêmement talentueuse Annabel Boissonneault @ The School of Dance, Ottawa.
