I have a thing for simple graffiti, dilapidated houses, and a naturally occurring slight tint of blue.

Although they are two completely different settings, the alley behind my apartment reminds me of the days my childhood best friend and I would get lost and explore the forests behind our houses. They felt like places only we knew about.

He slowly wandered for a while, searching for a place to sit (perhaps?), with a bag of empty beer cans in his hand. I thought to myself, how did you expect your life to turn out? Who were you ten years ago?

life is funny. i was reminded today of my trip to florida almost one year ago. while browsing through images i rediscovered this one. i don’t think it ever caught my eye, but with a year more experience in photography i now really appreciate this picture. and it kinda makes me happy to know sometimes i can have an eye for a photograph without realizing.
